Claremont Special

Welcome back!

How are we already in Term 6 already? I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine as much as we have! We have a busy and fun packed last term to look forward to.

Term 6

This term our theme is the seaside.

The children have been greatly enjoying many more lessons outside in the cool of the shady playground, enjoying sand and water play as part of our beach theme. We have been reading some beach stories including Billy’s bucket, choosing what we might put in our bucket and a story all about P2 going on a trip to the seaside!

Our class are supporting Spain in the Euro’s, so we have been waving our flags, blowing our whistles, passing the football to our friends and having a half time slice of orange. We are also looking forward to learning more about Spain, especially the flamenco!

As well as all this we will hopefully squeeze in a mini sports day and will make sure we share all the photos and videos with you.

Sun cream- Outdoor learning is really important for our children and although we do our best to stay in the shade, if you would like us to apply sun cream to your child, please send it in in a named bottle.

Home-school contact

Please continue to use the home-school diary or email me with any questions and updates. If you need to speak to me for any reason, please phone the school office. If your child is going to be absent for any reason, we really appreciate an early morning phone call to the office and a message left on the answering machine as this greatly helps us plan our staffing. Thank you.

Home Learning

Please remember that if your child is learning from home there are lots of activity ideas to enjoy on our School Website and some videos on Claremont’s YouTube channel
