Welcome back to Term 6!

Term 6 Theme

This term our new topic is, The Natural World, Plants and Animals . We are going to be looking at the different habitats for different animals and learning lots of Makaton signs.

In maths we are focusing on position and direction and revisiting addition and subtraction.

In English we are going to be learning about rhyming words through some funny stories and poems.

In our PE lessons we will be doing football with the Bristol Bears who will be coming into school to run inclusive, fun sessions every week. We will also continue our own PE sessions in the hall and our weekly trips to Super Sense on a Tuesday.

Now the weather has improved, we are using our outside space as much as possible for play and learning. This includes water play. Please can you supply a complete change of clothes including underwear in case your child needs them.

RSE

In our RSE lessons our topic is The World I Live In. We are learning about the  differences and similarities between everyone in our school community. We will also think about the groups we belong to and who keeps us safe.

Swimming

We are swimming again this term at Henbury Leisure Centre on Friday afternoons. The children can build confidence in the water and swimming instructors are available to offer some structured activities as well.
