Welcome back to term 6!
We hope you had a good half term break and hopefully enjoyed the long Jubilee bank holiday.
Term 6 Theme
This term’s theme is Outdoor Fun so we will be doing just that!
As the weather improves, we will spend some time learning outdoors using nature school activities to explore planting, pollinators, and life cycles.
We will also bring the outdoors indoors, exploring an adapted version of ‘The tiny seed’ in our indoor environment, ‘Rosie’s Walk’ on the resonance board.
We will immerse ourselves in sensory sessions to learn all about the environment and how to keep our planet safe.
We learn about religions through our assembly program. This term we will learn about Jewish and Islamic celebrations.
As part of our whole school Relationship and Sex Education program we are covering ‘keeping safe and looking after myself’ this term.
Swimming and Rebound
We are currently getting risk assessments completed and signed off by physios ready for starting rebound for all and are hoping that we might fit in some sessions this term.
Swimming continues to take place on Thursdays. Please continue to send in kits on this day, including x2 large towels, costume/shorts, swim pads and tegaderm.
Please use the home-school diary or email me with any questions and updates. If you need to speak to us for any reason, please phone the school office.
If your child is going to be absent for any reason, we really appreciate an early morning phone call to the office and a message left on the answering machine, as this greatly helps us plan our staffing. Thank you.
Reminder of what’s needed in school
- Change of clothes kept in school, useful for any messy days.
- A supply of pads (nappies), wet wipes and creams if needed. (We will write in your diary if these are running low.)
- Feeds and Snacks if your child needs these.
- Clothes that are appropriate for summer weather, especially during outdoor learning sessions.
Earwig now has an extra feature where you can send us photos, comments or videos of what your child has been doing at home.
If you could send us any half term / Jubilee celebrations videos and photos we would love to share them with the class!
Dates for your diary
Wednesday 13th July 2pm - ‘Moving on Day’ Meet your child’s new staff team in their new classroom.
We are also hoping to organise a trip this term! More details to follow.
